Find out how you can help strengthen Texas animal laws, Saturday, May 31st

What: Texas Humane Legislation Network (THLN) North Texas Chapter Meeting

When: Saturday, May 31, 2014 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

Where:  Dallas Animal Services, 1818 N Westmoreland Rd, Dallas, TX 75212

Why: You can learn how to make a difference for Texas animals by getting involved in elections. Join us for this free informative meeting, refreshments and networking with some great people!

We’ve been preparing for the 84th legislative session in January 2015, and we want THLN members to be the first to learn all of the details about our legislative agenda. Not a member? It’s easy!  Just go to the THLN website to sign up at http://thln.org/?view=email_signup.

We also want you to have the opportunity to ask questions. Have you ever wondered how we choose our legislative agenda? Or how we pick a sponsor for a bill? Maybe you’re wondering why a particular bill didn’t pass. If so, come out to our meeting and get answers from our Legislative Chair and Board Vice President, Shelby Bobosky. Shelby will also be discussing hot topics like humane tethering and the recent influx of dog shootings.

Please RSVP to Anne Alonzo at aalonzo@thln.org, so that we know how many people to expect.

Note: When you arrive at Dallas Animal Services, enter through the main entrance glass doors. Tell the staff you’re there to attend the THLN meeting and you’ll be directed to the conference room.
